HESS CORPORATION PUBLISHES 11TH CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

July 17, 2008 - NEW YORK - Hess Corporation has published its 2007 Corporate Sustainability Report, which also marked the 11th consecutive year that the Company produced an annual report dedicated to their corporate sustainability and energy, health & safety initiatives. INC Design has been handling both design and project management tasks for the multi-year assignment in collaboration with Hess corporate team members. This year's 48-page report features a format that follows the guidelines issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and also the framework of the International Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association (IPIECA) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) Oil and Gas Industry Guidance on Sustainability.

"This report is a major component of our stakeholder engagement efforts," said Gerald Bresnick, Ph.D., Vice President, Environment, Health, Safety and Social Responsibility for Hess Corporation. "It enables us to maintain and improve our key relationships and helps promote transparency and continuous improvement in our company and industry."

INC Design worked with specialized paper companies such as Mohawk Paper to select FSC-certified paper stock containing 100 percent recycled fiber and a process-chlorine free, 100 percent post-consumer waste (PCW) paper to support Hess' environmental commitment. In addition, other partners were part of the collaborative effort, including New Jersey-based Sandy Alexander, an ISO 140001:2004 certified printer with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody. The Hess CSR was printed with the use of renewable wind power resulting in nearly zero volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
